Center Christian Church
Organized February 2, 1903
This congregation began as the result of a 5 week long revival held at the Center school house in rural Cherokee County, Kansas in 1903.
The church was founded on the principles of:
"Taking Christ as its only creed, and the Bible as its only book of authority."
By 1985, Center Christian had adopted the motto: "Centered in Christ"
By 2004, Center made it's mission official: "Save the lost, disciple the saved"
The following is a brief timeline of the expansion of the church.

1911: The building used by CCC is destroyed by a tornado
1911: CCC rebuilds less than 6 months after the tornado
1903-1979: CCC records it had 38 different ministers in it's first 76 years.
1999: A sanctuary capable of seating 300+, along with Sunday School rooms and offices is added on to the original sanctuary.
1996-2001: Brother Bob serves as full time minister.
1985-1995: Johnie Atkins serves as full time minister.
1981-1985: Kenneth Harland serves as full time minister.

2007: Due to a dramatic rise in attendance, a newer sanctuary is added on to the original church building, now capable of seating 600+

2014-2015: Tom Goettel serves as interim minister.
2015-2017: Mike Jones serves as full time minister.
2017: Andrew Peterman serves as associate minister.
2018-Present: Andrew Peterman serves as full time minister.
2020-Present: Curt Zahm serves as associate/worship minister.
